About Us

The History of the
Winery

Abaia Winery began its activity in 2019 by cultivating a 1-hectare vineyard, and in 2021, it had its first wine production. The winery is built within two bunkers that were constructed during the communist era, which are actually used for wine production and aging. Starting from 2023, the winery also offers restaurant services, where you can enjoy uniquely crafted dishes along with the wines produced by the winery, all within the ambiance of the restaurant.

Abaia Winery started its activity in 2019 by planting a 1-hectare vineyard.

After we cultivated the first grapes, we started producing wine.

Vineyard
Abaia Winery uses two types of grapes to produce "Shesh i bardhe" and "Shesh i zi" cultivated in Shesh, Tirana and Sangiovese cultivated in Abaia canteen.

Abaia Winery also offers restaurant services, where you can enjoy uniquely tailored dishes paired with the wines produced by the winery in its ambiance.

Diversity of our
products

The winery produces 5 wine labels (shesh i bardhe, shesh i zi, Sangiovese, Amphora Kallmet, Amphora Sangiovese) and 2 types of raki (traditional raki and grape raki aged in new French oak barrels). The winery is a prime tourist destination where visitors get acquainted up close with our vineyard, the secrets of wine production, and product tasting paired with carefully crafted dishes by our chef.
